Paving, Surfacing, and Tamping Equipment Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Roller Machine Operator skilled in the operation and maintenance of roller machines for paving and tamping. You will monitor operations, conduct routine inspections, and adjust settings to ensure optimal performance and product quality.

Responsibilities

• Operate various types of machinery including rollers and compactors.
• Inspect equipment before and after use to maintain functionality.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding project status and issues.
• Document daily operating hours and production metrics.
• Work collaboratively with site crews to complete projects on time.
• Participate in safety meetings and adhere to safety standards.
• Perform troubleshooting for minor mechanical issues and report major problems.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Technical training in heavy machinery operation is a plus

Experience

• Experience with construction machinery preferred
