Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Telecommunications Line Installer and Repairer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with fiber optic splicing, installation, and maintenance, ensuring our telecommunications systems run smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Splice and test fiber optic cables in various settings.
• Conduct routine maintenance and emergency repairs on fiber optic systems.
• Work alongside site managers to execute installations efficiently.
• Document every step of installation and maintenance processes.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols.
• Communicate effectively with clients for optimal service delivery.
• Engage in continual education on new technologies and methods.
• Assist in training new hires on fiber optic practices.
• Evaluate and report on the condition of the existing infrastructure.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associate's degree in telecommunications or related field is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in the telecommunications industry

Technical Skills

• Fusion splicing
• Network troubleshooting

Certifications

• Fiber Optic Installer Certification
• First Aid/CPR Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
