Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Locomotive Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, constructing, and maintaining railroad systems. Your expertise will help ensure the safe and efficient transportation of goods and passengers.

Responsibilities

  • Design and oversee the construction of new railroad tracks and crossings.
  • Evaluate and assess railroad systems for operational efficiency.
  • Draft detailed specifications for construction projects.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to safety standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers on large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Conduct regular inspections of railroad facilities and equipment.
  • Implement maintenance schedules for all rail infrastructure.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to construction teams.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Train and mentor junior engineering staff.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in railroad engineering or a related field.
