Asphalt Laborer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Asphalt Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the construction, maintenance, and repair of asphalt surfaces. This role requires physical strength and the ability to work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Support the laying and compaction of asphalt surfaces.
• Perform routine equipment checks and maintenance.
• Participate in safety briefings and training sessions.
• Help manage material inventory and tool organization.
• Engage in physical labor for extended periods in outdoor conditions.
• Assist other crew members in various construction tasks.
• Ensure all work is performed following industry standards.
• Document daily progress and report to supervisors.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in a construction-related role preferred.

Technical Skills

• Machine operation proficiency
• Basic knowledge of pavement materials

Soft Skills

• Reliable communication
• Problem-solving abilities

Certifications

• CPR and First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Road Marking: Skills in applying road markings post asphalt paving.
• Ability to read blueprints: Understanding of construction plans and specifications.
