Weatherization Installers and Technicians

Job Description

We are searching for motivated Weatherization Installers and Technicians to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for improving energy efficiency in residential properties by conducting site inspections, sealing air leaks, and installing insulation.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough home energy assessments to pinpoint energy inefficiencies.
• Seal identified air leaks effectively using industry-standard practices.
• Install various types of insulation based on the unique needs of each home.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation of installations and modifications made.
• Work closely with customers to communicate the value of energy-saving practices.
• Collaborate with a team of professionals to meet project deadlines.
• Ensure all procedures comply with established building codes and safety standards.
• Utilize diagnostic tools to measure energy savings post-installation.
• Train and mentor junior technicians as required.
• Actively participate in safety training and adhere to safety protocols at all times.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Relevant certification in energy efficiency or construction is a plus

Experience

• 2+ years in a similar role preferred

Technical Skills

• HVAC systems knowledge
• Building diagnostics

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Attention to detail

Certifications

• Building Performance Institute (BPI) certification preferred

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience working with HVAC systems: Hands-on experience with residential heating and cooling systems.
• Ability to read blueprints: Skills in interpreting construction drawings and schematics.
