Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Insurance Underwriter to help us manage and mitigate risk while providing outstanding service to our clients. In this role, you will evaluate insurance applications, calculate premiums, and work closely with clients to ensure their needs are met. Strong critical thinking and analytical skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop underwriting guidelines.
• Utilize software tools to evaluate risk and calculate premiums.
• Provide support and expertise to sales teams during the underwriting process.
• Monitor customer feedback and adjust underwriting practices as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field
• Advanced insurance certifications are a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the insurance field, with a focus on underwriting

Technical Skills

• Insurance Software Familiarity
• Financial Acumen

• Critical Thinking
• Negotiation

Certifications

• CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor)

Languages

• English: Fluent
