Job Description

We are on the lookout for a dedicated Hog Tender to join our vibrant team. In this crucial role, you will oversee the care and management of hogs, ensuring their health and comfort in a clean and safe environment. Responsibilities will include monitoring their behavior, maintaining the facilities, and collaborating closely with teammates to achieve production goals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular health checks on hogs and report findings.
• Ensure hogs have access to clean water and nutritious feed.
• Monitor and maintain the facility’s cleanliness.
• Help with the logistics of feed and supply deliveries.
• Assist with training new staff on best practices in hog care.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss herd health and management.
• Implement biosecurity measures within the facility.
• Document and track medication schedules and treatment protocols.
• Help with the setup and maintenance of breeding projects.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Experience in agricultural settings is a plus.

Technical Skills

• Livestock management software
