Job Description

The Milling and Planing Machine Operator is responsible for setting up and operating various machining systems to perform precision fabrication of metal components. This role demands a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and proficiency in interpreting engineering blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Setup and run various types of milling and planing machinery.
• Perform quality checks on parts during and after production to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues and make necessary adjustments.
• Keep work station clean and organized, ensuring all tools and equipment are maintained.
• Assist in training new operators and sharing best practices.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Document production processes and maintain accurate records of work performed.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Technical degree in machining or related field preferred

Experience

• 3+ years operating CNC boring or milling machines
