Job Description

We are in search of a talented Piano Accompanist to join our music faculty. This position involves providing accompaniment for various ensembles and soloists, ensuring that each performance shines. The ideal candidate has a solid background in music theory and exceptional sight-reading skills.

Responsibilities

  • Accompany soloists, choirs, and instrumentalists during rehearsals and performances.
  • Sight-read music scores and adjust accompaniment as necessary.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Engage in ongoing communication with directors and performers.
  • Support students in preparation for exams and competitions.
  • Play an active role in departmental meetings and planning.
  • Participate in community outreach and promotional events.
  • Conduct personal practice sessions to refine skills as needed.
  • Assist with the maintenance and tuning of instruments.
  • Provide constructive feedback to fellow musicians during collaborations.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Music or related field preferred
Experience
  • Experience working with choirs or orchestras is beneficial.
