Job Description

Join our team as a Monk, where you will dedicate your life to spiritual discipline, meditation, and religious teachings. You will reside at our serene monastery in Sedona, Arizona, leading fellow monks on their spiritual journeys and engaging in acts of community service.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily meditation sessions to foster mindfulness and inner peace.
  • Teach and mentor newcomers in the practices of the monastic lifestyle.
  • Engage in regular study groups to explore various spiritual philosophies.
  • Participate actively in community service initiatives.
  • Coordinate events and retreats focused on spiritual growth and community building.
  • Maintain the physical and spiritual sanctity of the monastery grounds.
  • Foster a spirit of collaboration and support amongst fellow monks.
  • Document personal reflections and insights to share with the community.
  • Participate in the monastery's decision-making process.

Requirements

Education
  • Ph.D. in Religious Studies or equivalent
  • Master's degree in Spirituality is an advantage
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in monastic life or relevant spiritual practice
