Job Responsibilities
  • Manage and update taxonomies to reflect evolving business requirements.
  • Analyze feedback from users to improve taxonomy effectiveness.
  • Perform user research and usability testing to optimize classification systems.
  • Guide implementation and integration of taxonomies into various platforms.
  • Facilitate cross-functional discussions to prioritize taxonomy development.
  • Document taxonomy protocols and updates for reference and training.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Library Science, Information Science, or a related field
  • Expertise in taxonomy management software Proficient in tools such as Synaptica and PoolParty.
  • Understanding of metadata standards Knowledge of standards like Dublin Core and XML.
  • Analytical Thinking Exceptional ability to analyze complex biological data.
  • Effective Communication Strong skills in conveying complex ideas clearly.
  • Team Collaboration Proven ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Certification in Taxonomy Management
  • SEO Fundamentals Certificate
  • English (Fluent)

  • Knowledge of controlled vocabularies: Understanding of how controlled vocabularies enhance taxonomy accuracy.
