Biological Scientist - Taxonomist

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Taxonomist to organize and classify biological data and information. You will develop and maintain classification systems, ensuring accessible and efficient retrieval of information.

Responsibilities

• Manage and update taxonomies to reflect evolving business requirements.
• Analyze feedback from users to improve taxonomy effectiveness.
• Perform user research and usability testing to optimize classification systems.
• Guide implementation and integration of taxonomies into various platforms.
• Facilitate cross-functional discussions to prioritize taxonomy development.
• Document taxonomy protocols and updates for reference and training.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Biological Science or Information Management is preferred

Experience

• Experience in implementing taxonomies in large organizations is an advantage

Technical Skills

• Experience with data analysis tools
• Knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO)

Soft Skills

• Critical Thinking
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Certified Information Professional (CIP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
