Job Description

As a Traffic Signal Inspector, you will play a crucial role in monitoring and maintaining traffic signal systems. Your responsibilities will include routine inspections, reporting malfunctions, and collaborating with maintenance teams to ensure public safety.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect traffic signal installations to ensure compliance with safety codes and operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with local authorities to address any traffic signal issues promptly.
  • Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshooting to identify issues in signal operation.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of new traffic signal systems as required.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development of traffic signal technologies.
  • Maintain an inventory of parts and supplies necessary for signal maintenance.
  • Conduct traffic studies as needed to support signal improvement projects.

Requirements

Education
  • Associate's degree in a related field may be considered
  • Additional certifications in traffic engineering are advantageous
Experience
  • At least 2 years in traffic management or engineering roles
