Linen Room Custodian

Job Description

The Linen Room Custodian is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, organization, and maintenance of the linen room in accordance with hotel standards. This role involves processing, handling, and distribution of linens throughout the hotel, ensuring maximum efficiency in linen inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect linens from the laundry for quality and cleanliness.
• Ensure proper inventory levels are maintained by tracking linen usage.
• Deliver linens to various departments as requested.
• Assist in inventory management by recording linen counts.
• Maintain clean work surfaces and safety protocols in the linen room.
• Support housekeeping staff with additional cleaning tasks as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards.
• Participate in staff meetings to discuss linen quality and improvements.
• Promote a positive team environment through collaboration and support.
• Be proactive in identifying areas for improved efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Must have prior experience in a hotel housekeeping or laundry environment.
