Job Description

As a Special Education Preschool Teacher, you will work closely with young children who have disabilities and special needs, crafting educational plans tailored to their individual capabilities. You will ensure a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that fosters growth and development.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and nurture trusting relationships with students and families.
  • Implement daily routines that help children feel secure and engaged.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to address students' unique challenges.
  • Facilitate communication among parents, specialists, and educators to ensure holistic support.
  • Utilize various teaching methods to cater to different learning styles.
  • Attend workshops to maintain certifications and improve educational methods.
  • Encourage family involvement in the child's education through regular communication.
  • Adapt classroom environments to meet the needs of every student.
  • Participate in community outreach programs to raise awareness about special education.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or related field
  • Teaching certification in Special Education is preferred
Experience
  • Experience with young children with disabilities is highly preferred

  • Valid state teaching license
