Gas Plant Operator

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Gas Plant Operator to oversee our natural gas distribution operations. You will work closely with our team to ensure supplies are delivered accurately and efficiently while maintaining safety and compliance across all processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of gas distribution systems.
• Utilize monitoring tools to track gas flow and respond to anomalies.
• Communicate with service technicians regarding repairs and maintenance needs.
• Develop reports on gas usage and distribution metrics.
• Engage with customers to provide updates and resolve any service interruptions.
• Train new employees on gas distribution protocols and safety measures.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred

Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in gas distribution or a related field

Technical Skills

• Gas distribution management systems
• Microsoft Office Suite

• Strong communication skills
• Problem-solving skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with GIS and mapping technologies: Familiarity with geographic information systems for efficient routing and planning.
• Knowledge of safety regulations in gas distribution: Understanding of compliance requirements for gas safety.
• Certification in gas distribution: Relevant certifications will be considered an advantage.
