Job Description

As a Detention Deputy, you will ensure the safety and security of inmates in a correctional facility. Your role involves enforcing rules, supervising inmate activities, and managing conflict situations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain security and conduct regular inmate counts to ensure safety.
  • Conduct searches for contraband and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Manage inmate behavior, providing guidance and conflict resolution.
  • Document violations and incidents, ensuring compliance with protocols.
  • Assist with rehabilitation and educational programs for inmates.
  • Maintain effective communication with all facility staff members.
  • Respond to emergencies, providing first aid when necessary.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of specialized training in law enforcement
Experience
  • 1-2 years of experience working in a correctional facility or detention center preferred.
