Job Description

As a Professional Jockey, you will play a pivotal role in racing, riding racehorses during training and competitive events. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that horses are prepared, well-conditioned, and achieve their peak performance during races. This position requires mental resilience, physical fitness, and a deep understanding of horse behavior.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the horse is fit and ready before each race.
  • Implement training techniques recommended by the head trainer.
  • Participate in workshops and seminars on horse care and racing strategies.
  • Report any injuries, health issues, or behavioral changes to the veterinarian.
  • Incorporate feedback from trainers to improve riding techniques.

Requirements

Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Formal racing school training preferred
Experience
  • Prior experience riding in professional races with notable results.
