Felt Machine Mechanic

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Felt Machine Mechanic to join our team in Atlanta. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in maintaining and repairing felt machines used within the textile manufacturing industry. This role requires attention to detail and a deep understanding of mechanical systems to ensure the machines run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive inspections and preventative maintenance on felt machines.
• Identify performance issues and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production staff to improve machine functionality.
• Document maintenance logs and report on machine performance metrics.
• Develop and follow maintenance schedules to enhance machine uptime.
• Participate in safety audits and contribute to a safe working environment.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical degree in mechanical engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in machinery maintenance or repair

Technical Skills

• Machine maintenance procedures
• PLC programming

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Certification in Industrial Maintenance

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Additional certifications related to machine maintenance: Certifications in relevant mechanical maintenance fields are a plus.
