Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Air Brake Adjuster to join our team of Rail Car Repairers. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and adjusting air brake systems on various vehicles. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge and a commitment to safety, ensuring that vehicles operate efficiently and securely.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of air brake systems and components.
• Identify and diagnose issues with brake systems.
• Repair and replace faulty brake components.
• Adjust brakes to meet manufacturer and regulatory specifications.
• Document inspections, repairs, and adjustments accurately.
• Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot complex brake system issues.
• Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols.
• Mentor junior team members on best practices.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license

Experience

• Prior experience in air brake adjustment or a related field is preferred.
