Job Description

As an Orthopedic Assistant, you will provide critical support to orthopedic surgeons in diagnosing and treating patients with musculoskeletal injuries. Your role will encompass assisting in surgeries, providing patient care, and ensuring the smooth operation of the orthopedic clinic.

Responsibilities

  • Support orthopedic surgeons in the clinical examination of patients.
  • Assist in maintaining a sterile environment during surgical procedures.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and provide immediate assistance as needed.
  • Conduct routine diagnostic procedures and assist in patient assessments.
  • Help in the application and removal of casts and splints.
  • Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Provide support to surgical teams by preparing necessary documentation.
  • Manage patient follow-ups and track recovery progress.
  • Utilize EMR systems for documentation and record-keeping.
  • Educate patients and families about orthopedic procedures and rehabilitation plans.

Requirements

Education
  • Associate's degree in a healthcare-related field is preferred
Experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in an orthopedic or surgical setting.
