Tax Associate

Job Description

As an Underwriter at Insurance Solutions US, you will evaluate insurance applications and assess risk to determine coverage amounts and premiums. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of insurance policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate tax returns to ensure compliance.
• Advise clients on tax-efficient investments.
• Maintain awareness of changes in tax laws affecting clients.
• Prepare documentation for tax audits.
• Support firm initiatives for sustainability and ethics in taxation.
• Create reports summarizing tax obligations for clients.
• Plan and execute tax strategies to minimize liabilities.
• Assist clients with tax preparation for estates and trusts.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Master's degree in Finance or Taxation advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of relevant tax experience.

Technical Skills

• Accounting Software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage)
• Data Analysis

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Time Management

Certifications

• Certified Management Accountant (CMA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Prior experience with large multinational clients: Experience dealing with complex tax regulations for international clients.
