Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Bench Tool Maker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and repairing precision tools and machines used in manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop new tooling concepts to improve manufacturing efficiency.
• Utilize precision measuring tools to assess dimensions and tolerances.
• Work on custom projects that require innovative tooling solutions.
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely tool delivery.
• Implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance tooling processes.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an apprenticeship or trade school program in toolmaking or a related field

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience as a bench tool maker or in a related field

Technical Skills

• Manual Machining
• CAD Software
• Welding
• Blueprint reading

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Collaboration

Certifications

• Professional certification or licensure is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• CNC Machining Experience: Experience working with CNC machines to produce precision tools.
• Preventative Maintenance Programs: Experience developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs for tools.
• Regulated Industry Experience: Experience working in a regulated industry such as aerospace or healthcare.
