Sheet Metal Worker

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Worker to install, maintain, and repair air duct systems in commercial and residential buildings. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of HVAC systems and have a knack for troubleshooting and diagnosing issues effectively.

Responsibilities

• Draft and modify ductwork dimensions and designs where necessary.
• Document work performed and materials used for record-keeping.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently.
• Conduct inspections of existing systems and suggest improvements.
• Maintain inventory of materials and tools required for tasks.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an HVAC apprenticeship or equivalent experience

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in air duct installation and repair

Technical Skills

• HVAC systems knowledge
• Sheet Metal Tools

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Certifications in air duct installation, repair, and maintenance preferred

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with green energy HVAC systems: Knowledge of energy-efficient systems and green technology applications.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics: Skilled in understanding project guidelines and specifications.
