Job Description

As an Underground Utility Foreman, you will oversee a dedicated team responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground utilities, including water, gas, and electric lines. Your leadership will ensure safety, efficiency, and adherence to project timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Direct daily field operations and ensure task prioritization.
  • Administer safety protocols and conduct regular safety meetings.
  • Collaborate with engineers to create design plans and specifications.
  • Evaluate the performance of crew members and provide constructive feedback.
  • Ensure accurate project reporting for stakeholders.
  • Participate in bid preparation and proposal evaluations.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers and contractors.
  • Review and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Provide hands-on guidance during complex installations.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certification in relevant trades (e.g., plumbing, electrical) is preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in underground utility construction, preferably with supervisory experience.
