Job Description
As an Adapted Physical Education Specialist, you will design and implement tailored physical education programs for students with disabilities. Your role is pivotal in assessing students' physical abilities and creating individualized programs that enhance inclusivity and participation.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement tailored physical education programs for students with special needs.
- Assess individual needs and develop personalized plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals.
- Regularly evaluate and adjust activity plans for effectiveness.
- Maintain records of each student’s progress and communicate updates to stakeholders.
- Promote an inclusive environment through engaging physical activities.
Requirements
Education
- Master's degree in Physical Education or related field is a plus
- Certified Adapted Physical Education Specialist
Experience
- Experience working with students with severe disabilities is preferred.
Technical Skills
- Ability to assess students’ physical abilities
