Structural Iron and Steel Worker

Job Description

As a Structural Iron and Steel Worker, you'll play a vital role in the construction and assembly of steel structures. Working closely with a skilled team, you'll perform various tasks including hoisting, positioning, and securing steel beams to create a solid foundation for building projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the layout of steel framework for new constructions.
• Participate in quality checks to ensure standards are met.
• Operate welding tools and other machinery safely.
• Provide excellent teamwork and support to construction crew.
• Keep work environment clean and organized.
• Assist with loading and unloading steel materials.
• Report any hazards or safety concerns immediately.
• Track inventory of materials and tools.
• Engage in continuous learning to stay updated on construction techniques.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent, technical training preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in ironwork or structural steel

• Steel Fabrication

Certifications

• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
• Confined Space Entry Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
