Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Stave Hewer who will be responsible for cutting and shaping wood staves used in barrel production. The ideal candidate will be skilled in operating saws and woodcutting machinery, ensuring the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all wood staves are cut to specifications and quality standards.
• Document production processes and any discrepancies.
• Train new staff on machine operation and safety protocols.
• Support the logistics team in organizing shipments of completed staves.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing process.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in woodcutting or manufacturing roles

Technical Skills

• Wood processing techniques
• CAD Software

Soft Skills

• Physical stamina
• Communication

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with CAD software: Basic knowledge of CAD for design and measurements in wood production.
• Forklift operation certification: Certified to operate a forklift for material handling.
