Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous Jewel Inspector to evaluate and authenticate precious stones and metals. Your assessments will ensure that our jewelry meets the highest industry standards.
Responsibilities
Assess diamonds, gemstones, and precious metals to determine quality.
Document and report any defects, ensuring compliance with standards.
Collaborate with the design team to assist with new jewelry projects.
Provide expert advice to sales staff regarding product knowledge.
Train and mentor new employees in jewelry inspection protocols.
Use CAD software to aid in jewelry design understanding.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Jewelry Design, Gemology, or a related field
Professional certification in gemology or jewelry appraisal
Experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a jewel inspector or appraiser
