Job Description

As a key member of our faculty, the Economics Teacher will facilitate learning through innovative teaching strategies and a commitment to student success. You will conduct classes, mentor students, and develop curriculum that enhances our economics program. Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in various fields of economics.
  • Conduct and supervise research that contributes to the academic community.
  • Mentor students in research projects and assist them in publishing work.
  • Create an inclusive classroom environment that fosters student engagement and learning.
  • Develop assessment tools to evaluate student performance and learning outcomes.
  • Serve on university committees and contribute to departmental governance.
  • Collaborate with faculty to enhance the overall curriculum in economics.
  • Participate in recruitment and retention initiatives for the economics program.
  • Advise students on academic and career paths, and support them in achieving their goals.
  • Engage with external stakeholders to promote partnerships that benefit the university.

Requirements

Education
  • Ph.D. in Economics or related discipline
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in higher education teaching and research.
