Cutting and Slicing Machine Setter, Operator, and Tender

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Sample Sawyer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for cutting and preparing wood samples for testing and analysis in the laboratory. Ideal candidates should have experience in woodworking and machine operation.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate cutting machines for wood samples.
• Monitor machines during operation to detect any malfunctions.
• Implement quality checks to ensure sample integrity.
• Keep inventory of wood supplies and request resupply as needed.
• Train new employees on equipment operation and safety protocols.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.

• CNC Operating
• Power Tools

• Time Management

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment: Experience in high-volume production settings is a plus.
• Forklift certification: Certification to operate forklifts or other material handling machinery.
