Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Homicide Squad Commanding Officer to lead our investigative team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in solving complex homicide cases, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of criminal investigations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the homicide squad, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Conduct regular briefings to update team members on case progress and priorities.
  • Utilize data-driven approaches to enhance investigative outcomes and operational efficiency.
  • Mentor and train junior detectives in advanced investigative techniques and legal protocols.
  • Evaluate and enhance current protocols to improve case management and investigation workflows.
  • Facilitate community outreach efforts to promote transparency and trust in investigations.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on case progress for departmental review.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, or a related field
  • Advanced training in criminal investigations is preferred
Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in law enforcement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
