Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Underwriter to join our New Orleans team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of risk assessment and management. You will be responsible for analyzing insurance applications, determining coverage amounts, and mitigating risks to ensure profitability.

Responsibilities

• Analyze insurance submissions to provide coverage recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop client-specific solutions.
• Monitor competitive practices and pricing in the insurance market.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal insurance regulations.
• Provide mentorship to junior underwriters and help develop their skills.
• Maintain effective relationships with agents to facilitate the underwriting process.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
• CPCU designation is highly desirable

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on underwriting
