Job Description

We are seeking motivated individuals for the roles of Railroad Conductors and Yardmasters. You will manage train operations, monitor schedules, and ensure safety regulations are upheld. If you're passionate about logistics and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we want you on our team!

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the loading and unloading of freight to ensure efficiency.
  • Oversee train movements in the yard and ensure safe operations.
  • Maintain communication with engineers, dispatchers, and other railroad personnel.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of operational strategies.
  • Report any incidents or safety violations to management.
  • Conduct regular reviews of compliance with safety standards.
  • Ensure the maintenance of all yard facilities and equipment.
  • Lead safety meetings and training sessions for team members.
  • Monitor the performance of team members and provide constructive feedback.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

Education
  • Associate's degree in Logistics or related field is a plus
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in railroad operations or logistics role
Technical Skills
  • Experience with freight management systems
Soft Skills
  • Critical thinking
Certifications
  • Certified Logistics Associate (CLA)
Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous

  • Previous supervisory experience: Experience managing teams in a logistics or railroad setting.
  • Proficiency in Spanish: Ability to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking team members.
