Plant and System Operator

Job Description

We are looking for skilled Plant and System Operators to manage incinerator operations at our waste-to-energy facility. Ideal candidates will possess a strong background in industrial equipment management and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct operational checks on incineration systems and feed mechanisms.
• Perform adjustments to equipment as needed to optimize performance.
• Regularly evaluate operation logs to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Assist in training new operators on safety and operational protocols.
• Respond to alarms and alerts quickly to ensure safety.
• Participate in safety drills and educate team members on emergency protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the operational area.

Requirements

Education

• Associate's degree in Environmental Science or related field

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a processing plant or similar environment

Technical Skills

• Emissions Monitoring
• System Documentation

Soft Skills

• Adaptability
• Effective Communication

Certifications

• American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with SCADA systems: Ability to operate and troubleshoot SCADA systems.
• Knowledge of renewable energy principles: Understanding of principles related to renewable energy generation.
