Job Description

As a Gravel Weigher, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of materials used in construction. Your main responsibility will be measuring and documenting the weight of gravel, which involves utilizing specific equipment to weigh the materials accurately, following best practices to ensure compliance with quality control standards. Attention to detail is paramount, as you will maintain and oversee records that contribute directly to the integrity of our operations.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately weigh gravel materials and maintain precise records.
  • Ensure the calibration of weighing equipment is up to standard.
  • Adhere to documented procedures for weighing and logging materials.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on gravel to ensure it meets specifications.
  • Alert management of any equipment malfunctions or inconsistencies in measurements.
  • Document all weight measurements for compliance reporting.
  • Work closely with other department personnel to optimize processes.
  • Promote safety and cleanliness in the work environment.
  • Support additional duties as directed to enhance efficiency.
  • Engage in team meetings to discuss challenges and improvements.
  • Evaluate materials for quality and report findings.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
  • Experience with quality control procedures is advantageous.
Technical Skills
  • Ability to accurately read and record measurements
  • Forklift operating experience
