Job Description

As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will play a vital role in performing echocardiograms and assisting physicians in diagnosing heart conditions. Our ideal candidate is skilled in ultrasound technology and has a profound understanding of cardiovascular anatomy. You'll ensure patient safety and comfort while producing clear, high-quality images to aid in diagnoses.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct echocardiograms while ensuring high-quality imaging.
  • Evaluate and interpret data from ultrasound procedures for clinical accuracy.
  • Create a welcoming environment for patients, addressing their concerns and comfort.
  • Document findings and maintain detailed records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Assist medical staff in the calibration of ultrasound equipment to enhance diagnostic accuracy.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to improve cardiac care.
  • Keep abreast of new technologies and methods in echocardiography.
  • Comply with all safety, health, and infection control guidelines.
  • Provide educational support to patients and their families about echocardiography.
  • Participate in departmental meetings to enhance procedures and patient care.

Requirements

Education
  • Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
  • ARDMS certification in echocardiography
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in echocardiography.
