Job Description

We are looking for a First-Line Supervisor of Firefighting and Prevention Workers to oversee fire safety operations. This role requires strong leadership skills, as you'll manage a team responsible for the prevention, suppression, and control of wildfires. The ideal candidate will have hands-on firefighting experience and a commitment to protecting our environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage emergency response plans and coordinate drills with local emergency services.
  • Perform risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate fire hazards.
  • Promote public awareness and education regarding fire safety practices.
  • Identify training needs and organize appropriate training sessions for staff.
  • Oversee the maintenance and inventory of firefighting tools and equipment.
  • Ensure timely response and resource allocation during fire emergencies.
  • Collaborate with environmental specialists on wildfire mitigation strategies.
  • Keep abreast of new technologies and methods in firefighting.

Requirements

Education
  • Associate's degree in Fire Science or related field
  • Bachelor's degree is a plus
Experience
  • 6+ years of experience in fire management or a related field
