We are seeking a highly skilled Customs Import Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will manage all aspects of the import process, ensuring compliance with customs regulations. Your expertise will be essential in facilitating the efficient movement of goods across international borders, and you will serve as a key point of contact for stakeholders involved in import activities.

Responsibilities

• Review and process import applications and ensure accuracy of all documentation.
• Engage with government agencies regarding compliance issues.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement in customs operations.
• Conduct risk assessments on import activities to mitigate compliance issues.
• Maintain relationships with customs brokers and freight handlers to ensure efficiency.
• Assist in the development of customs training materials for staff.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) designation is a plus
