Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Stonemason to join our team. In this role, you will craft and install memorials, headstones, and gravestones, helping families create meaningful tributes to their loved ones. Your expertise in working with stone materials will be essential as you collaborate with clients to design and execute custom memorials.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and install a variety of memorial stones tailored to client needs.
• Engage in discussions with clients to determine the desired design and message.
• Utilize advanced masonry tools and techniques to achieve high-quality finishes.
• Ensure the longevity and durability of installations through proper techniques and materials.
• Assist in the maintenance and repair of existing monuments.
• Follow all safety protocols while handling heavy materials and operating machinery.
• Keep an organized inventory of materials and tools required for projects.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss project progress and improvements.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Apprenticeship or vocational training in memorial masonry is preferred

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in memorial masonry or a related field

Technical Skills

• Stone working
• Engraving techniques
• Tool proficiency

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Communication

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with monument restoration techniques: Knowledge in restoring and preserving aged or damaged memorials.
