Job Description

As a Fishing Guide with Pacific Fishing Adventures, you will lead fishing trips, ensuring safe and enjoyable experiences for our clients while advocating for conservation. Your expertise in local fishing techniques will help our clients connect with nature while catching their prized fish.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the logistics of fishing trips from start to finish.
• Conduct pre-trip safety briefings for clients.
• Facilitate effective communication between clients and support staff.
• Monitor equipment maintenance and report any issues.
• Contribute to the development of fishing trip itineraries.
• Adapt instruction based on the skill level of each client.
• Educate clients on conservation ethics related to fishing.
• Mentor junior guides as needed.
• Promote health and safety among clients during outdoor activities.
• Participate in community events to promote fishing and conservation.

Requirements

Education

• Additional certifications related to fishing preferred

Experience

• Prior experience in outdoor guiding roles will be beneficial.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of local fish species
• Safety equipment usage

Soft Skills

Certifications

• First Aid and CPR Certified
• Valid boating certification (if required)

Languages
