Metal-Refining Furnace Operators and Tenders

Job Description

We are seeking skilled Metal-Refining Furnace Operators and Tenders to oversee the operation of furnaces and ensure the production of high-quality metal casts. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in metal refining and a strong understanding of safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Lead the production of high-quality iron castings according to customer specifications
• Ensure all castings meet industry standards for strength, durability, and appearance
• Manage day-to-day operations of the foundry including scheduling and production planning
• Collaborate with engineering to develop new products and improve existing ones
• Maintain accurate records of production output and quality control
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and policies
• Provide technical support to customers and ensure their needs are met
• Assist in the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Post-secondary education in Foundry Technology or related field is preferred

Experience

• Experience operating and maintaining foundry equipment is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of Metallurgy: Understanding of metallurgy and material properties is a bonus.
