Agricultural Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Agricultural Technician to focus on applying fertilizers and other soil nutrients to enhance crop growth. The successful candidate will operate fertilization equipment and monitor soil conditions to ensure optimal productivity.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe operation of fertilization machinery, conducting regular maintenance checks.
• Collect soil samples and analyze nutrient levels to inform application rates.
• Conduct field observations and report findings to the management team.
• Coordinate with logistics personnel to ensure timely delivery of fertilizers.
• Implement best practices for safety protocols in the field.
• Provide training to new staff on equipment usage and safety standards.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Science is a plus

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in fertilizer application

Technical Skills

• GIS Software Use
• Soil Analysis Techniques

Certifications

• Commercial Pesticide Applicator's License

Languages

• English: Fluent
