Job Description

As an Ophthalmic Laboratory Technician, you will play a crucial role in producing and finishing optical lenses and eyeglasses. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, technical skills, and a passion for precision.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize various cutting and polishing equipment to shape lenses.
  • Ensure all lenses meet the required optical standards.
  • Communicate effectively with team members about production timelines.
  • Manage inventory of supplies and materials needed for lens production.
  • Perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment.
  • Assist in training new technicians on equipment and procedures.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss production goals.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Vocational training in Optical Technology preferred
Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in an optical lab or related field
