Telecommunications Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a Telecommunications Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot telecommunications systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in various communication technologies and possess strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and recommend new telecommunications technologies.
• Develop emergency response plans for telecommunications failure situations.
• Assist in the procurement and inventory management of telecommunications parts.
• Engage in ongoing training to stay updated on industry trends.
• Support the installation of fiber optic and copper wiring.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent
• Relevant certifications are preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of field experience in telecommunications

• VoIP Technology
• Troubleshooting

• Analytical Skills
• Customer Service

Certifications

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
• Wireless Networking Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of satellite communication systems: Experience working with satellite communications is a plus.
• Understanding of network monitoring tools: Proven experience with tools used for monitoring network performance.
