Job Description

As a Materials Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of sheet metal components for automotive applications. You will collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure quality and efficiency in production.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design and development process for automotive sheet metal components.
  • Partner with quality assurance teams to implement rigorous testing and validation protocols.
  • Perform material selection and analysis to optimize product performance and cost.
  • Utilize CAD tools to create detailed engineering drawings and models.
  • Mentor junior engineers and interns in design best practices and technologies.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of quality materials.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Master's degree in Materials Science or Engineering is advantageous
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in sheet metal design and development for automotive applications
