Responsibilities

  • Conduct and document radiation safety assessments to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain and calibrate therapy equipment and troubleshoot as necessary.
  • Formulate and implement quality assurance standards for radiation therapy.
  • Monitor radiation doses administered to patients and recommend adjustments.
  • Work in collaboration with medical staff for precise treatment implementation.
  • Research advancements in radiation technology and apply findings.
  • Train healthcare personnel in effective radiation safety measures.
  • Aid in developing and implementing institutional radiation safety policies.
  • Keep current with technology advances impacting radiation therapy.

Requirements

Education
  • Ph.D. in Radiological Physics or related field is preferred
Experience
  • Experience with advanced radiation therapy modalities preferred
