Job Description

As a Metal Sander at National Metal Works Corporation, you will play a crucial role in preparing and finishing metal surfaces. Using a variety of techniques and equipment, you will remove imperfections, smooth surfaces, and polish metal to a high shine.

Responsibilities

• Utilize polishing equipment to achieve desired finishes on various metals.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and timelines.
• Safely handle materials and tools, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss improvements and efficiency in operations.
• Train new employees on equipment utilization and safety standards.

Requirements

Education

• Training or apprenticeship in metalworking and/or finishing

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in metal sanding or a related field

Technical Skills

• Sanding equipment operation
• Surface preparation techniques

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Adaptability

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with specific metal types (e.g. stainless steel, aluminum): Knowledge of working with and finishing various metal types.
• Experience with specific finishes (e.g. satin, mirror): Familiarity with various finishing techniques to achieve desired looks.
