Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Adult Inpatient Psychiatrist to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to our adult inpatient population. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team setting.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychiatric assessments to create personalized care plans.
  • Lead therapeutic groups and engage in family therapy sessions.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Ensure that treatment follows ethical guidelines and standards of care.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of medications and therapies and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Participate in training and development programs for staff.
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect patient information in all dealings.
  • Support quality assurance programs through performance assessments.
  • Contribute to clinical research initiatives as opportunities arise.
  • Promote a positive work environment through teamwork and collaboration.

Requirements

Education
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
  • Consideration of Fellowship in Psychiatry is a plus
Experience
  • 5+ years in adult inpatient psychiatric care preferred
