Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Railroad Brake, Signal, and Switch Operator or Locomotive Firer. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and inspecting locomotives and ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods.

Job Responsibilities
  • Inspect and maintain signals, switches, and braking systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-department teams to streamline operations.
  • Report any irregularities or safety concerns to management.
  • Participate in safety training and operational drills.
  • Stay updated on new equipment and safety protocols.
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Mechanical aptitude Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical systems.
  • Electrical troubleshooting Proficient in identifying and fixing electrical issues in locomotives.
  • Safety compliance Deep understanding of safety regulations in railroad operations.
  • Attention to detail Highly skilled in identifying discrepancies in systems and processes.
  • Communication Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively.
  • Time management Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certifications in locomotive maintenance or operation
  • OSHA safety training
  • English (Fluent)
Advantageous
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance: Understanding of local and federal regulations regarding railroad operations.
  • Experience with safety equipment: Practical experience using and maintaining safety gear.
