Job Description

We are seeking a diligent Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST) to enhance workplace safety standards. Your expertise will be essential in conducting safety audits, investigating incidents, and developing emergency response plans to protect our employees and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate workplace conditions and compliance with safety legislation.
  • Design and deliver safety training sessions for staff.
  • Lead investigations into safety violations and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor safety metrics and provide guidance on improvements.
  • Work with departments to integrate safety into operational processes.
  • Ensure proper documentation and reporting of safety compliance.
  • Conduct regular onsite inspections and provide feedback.
  • Foster a safety-first culture across all levels of the organization.
  • Establish and maintain health and safety committees.
  • Keep up-to-date with changes in health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related field
  • Certification as a Safety Professional (CSP) or Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST)
Experience
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in occupational health and safety.
